Stephen Goth DMD, FRCD(C)
Board Certified Specialist in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

Dr. Stephen Goth grew up in west Lethbridge. He attended LCI for high-school and graduated in the class of 1994. He completed a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Alberta in 2000. He attended dental school in Saskatoon, and graduated from the University of Saskatchewan College of Dentistry with a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree in 2005.
Dr. Goth remained in Saskatoon for an additional year to participate in a hospital-based General Practice Residency (GPR) program at the Royal University Hospital. This GPR program included training in dental trauma management, performing intravenous sedation, and managing medically compromised and special-needs patients. Following completion of the GPR program he moved back to Lethbridge in 2006 to practice general dentistry.
He then specialized in Oral & Maxillofacial surgery at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida. This four-year accredited specialty program in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery has been directed for almost three decades by Dr. Robert Marx, an internationally recognized surgeon. The Miami residency program covers all aspects of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, including intensive training in dental implants, wisdom tooth removal, oral pathology, facial trauma, dentoalveolar surgery, jaw reconstruction, tissue engineering, anesthesia, and orthognathic surgery. As part of his training, Dr. Goth also rotated through the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia. After successfully completing this program in 2011, Dr. Goth returned to Canada to practice.
For two years following graduation Dr. Goth worked as an oral surgeon in a group practice in Edmonton. He now currently practices in his hometown of Lethbridge. His focus is to support the local dental and medical community, working as a trusted partner in your oral health care. His clinical interests include the treatment of impacted wisdom teeth and the placement of dental implants.
Stephen and his wife Katie have four children together. They love to hike in the mountains with their children in the summer and ski in the winter.
Dr. Goth is a Registered Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon in Alberta, and a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada FRCD(C).
