Following completion of the General Practice Residency program he moved back to Lethbridge in 2006 to practice general dentistry for a year.

He specialized in Oral & Maxillofacial surgery at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida. This four-year accredited specialty program in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery has been directed for almost two decades by Dr. Robert Marx, an internationally recognized surgeon. The Miami residency program covers all aspects of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, including intensive training in oral pathology, facial trauma, wisdom teeth extraction, dental implants, dentoalveolar surgery, jaw reconstruction, tissue engineering, anesthesia, and orthognathic surgery. Successfully completing this program in 2011, Dr. Goth returned to Canada and passed the National Dental Specialty Examination.

For two years following graduation Dr. Goth worked as an oral surgeon in a group practice in Edmonton. He now currently practices in his hometown of Lethbridge, in southern Alberta. His focus is to support the local dental and medical community, working as a trusted partner in your oral health care. His clinical interests include the treatment of impacted wisdom teeth and the placement of dental implants.

Stephen and his wife Katie have four children together. They love to hike in the mountains with their children in the summer and ski in the winter.
